The Floyd County Animal Rescue League relies on the charitableness of our volunteers. From Saturday dog walkers to foster care parents to volunteers who help behind the scenes. There are several ways to get involved, ranging from several hours weekly to a few times a year and everything in between. Check out our available volunteer opportunities at VolunteerMatch.org.

All new volunteers must first attend an orientation meeting. The meetings are held the last Thursday of each month at 6:00pm at the New Albany Animal Shelter (215 West Market St.). The meeting generally lasts about an hour, and there will be someone there from both the NA Shelter and FCARL to go over both organizations volunteer opportunities.

It is recommended that potential volunteers contact FCARL (812) 949-9099 or the New Albany Animal Shelter (812) 948-5355 the week of the meeting to verify that the date has not been rescheduled due to weather or a scheduling conflict.
